Held October 14, 2010 through October 16, 2010, the University of Louisville department of English is proud to present the 2010 Watson Conference.  The 2010 Watson Conference Reception will be held at the Glassworks Factory in beautiful downtown Louisville. 

In addition to dining, drinks and a jazz band, conference participants will have an opportunity to explore Glassworks' various galleries and gift shop. The Glassworks Gallery & Vonfire Gallery offer an extensive selection of pieces to please any art enthusiast. Collectible works by national and international artitists will be available for purusal and purchase. The reception will also include glassblowing demonstrations at the Glassworks Hot Glass Studio. The process begins with a roaring 2200 F degree furnace containing molten glass. The hot, honey-like glass is gathered and shaped by artisans, who utilize age old tools and techniques along with modern technology to transform the hot glass into a variety of works of art.
