Ralph Cintron, associate professor of English and Latino and Latin American Studies at the University of Illinois, Chicago, will give a public lecture Friday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. in Chao Auditorium. Cintron is the recipient of the Victor Turner Prize for Ethnographic Writing from the American Anthropological Association and author of “Angels' Town: Chero Ways, Gang Life, and Rhetorics of the Everyday.” Sponsored by the Watson Endowment Fund and organized by the English Department Graduate Program in Rhetoric and Composition.
Professor Cintron is also on the Executive Board of the Rhetoric Society of America.
