New English Majors
We will contact you by mail to notify you of your acceptance into the major and to request that you make an initial advising appointment with the Director of Undergraduate Studies in English, Dr. Beth Willey, call 852-6801 to make an appointment to review your program.

Advising Procedures For Current English Majors
Effective Fall 2007

In an effort to improve the Major and respond to student concerns, the English Department is changing the advising procedures for all English majors. These new procedures are designed to make the advising relationship more productive, continuous, and expeditious for English majors. All advising will be handled by one of two advisers. Meeting with only one of two advisers will ensure that most students will have the same adviser for their career as English majors.

Graduate Program

All advising related to the Graduate program is done by the Graduate Program Director, Dr. Susan Ryan.  Advising appointments can be made with her assistant, Kris Anderson at 852-0505.
