Paradigms and Practices”

 

Dr. Constant Leung is Professor of Educational Linguistics and Deputy Head of Department in the Dept of Education and Professional Studies, King’s College London, and Co-director of the Centre for Language Discourse and Communication within the College. He has written and published widely on education in ethnically and linguistically diverse societies, additional/second language curriculum development, language assessment, language policy, and teacher professional development. His recent books include Reconfiguring Europe: The Contribution of Applied Linguistics, The Routledge Companion to English Studies, and English: A Changing Medium for Education.

Dr. Weiguo Qu is Professor of English at Fudan University, China, where he also serves as Vice Dean (research), Fudan University College of Foreign Languages and Literatures. His research interests include discourse analysis, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and rhetoric and stylistics. In addition to Chinese-medium publications, his publications include papers appearing in College Composition and Communication, Changing English, English Today, and Language and Intercultural Communication. His books include Introducing Argumentation (2005), Discourse Stylistics (2009) and Introducing Critical Thinking and Argumentation (2013).
