Microsoft Lync for PC users, and Microsoft Communicator for Mac users, have replaced Novell Instant Messenger as the university's instant messenger services. The information below will help you get Lync or Communicator up and running!

Microsoft Lync for PC Users

Install and set up Lync on your campus computer

Please ask your unit's Tier 1 technical support personnel if your computer is connected to Active Directory (AD). Then click the appropriate link below:

Install and set up Lync on your home computer
Note: If you have a laptop that you take back and forth from campus to home, and you want to be able to use Lync in both places, your computer must be connected to AD. To have your laptop connected to AD, please contact your unit’s Tier I technical support personnel.
