Graduation is a time of celebration, a moment of confirmation and accomplishment. In order to begin the process of obtaining your degree, candidates will need to submit a formal application for degree. Commencement is a separate, yet concurrent process for those wanting to participate in a graduation ceremony. Although optional, the College encourages and welcomes your participation in celebrating your achievements and membership in our community. Please read below for additional information on both Applying for Degree and Commencement.

For up-to-date, detailed, and accurate information, please visit the Registrar's Degree Applications/Diplomas/Commencement webpage.

The College Convocation will immediately follow the university-wide commencement at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the East Hall A of the Kentucky Exposition Center. All graduates will be individually recognized at this ceremony, which takes approximately one and a half hours. If you choose not to participate in the university-wide ceremony, you may still participate in the unit convocation.

You are required to wear your academic apparel to the convocation. Please assemble in your cap and gown in the East Hall by 2:45 p.m. There is no rehearsal for the College of Education and Human Development ceremony. As this is a special occasion, a professional photographer will be on site taking photos of you as you walk across stage and throughout the ceremony.
