Students who have earned 30-59 credit hours are considered sophomores. While sophomores are not required to be advised, it is strongly encouraged!

Advising appointments for sophomores will typically focus on:

• Progress toward degree and completion of general education requirements
• Review of degree requirements
• Choice of concentrations and/or minors as they relate to the chosen major
• Opportunities for engagement
• Admission to teacher education (if appropriate)
