Education Advising Process
The following links outline the advising process depending on the students academic standing at the University of Louisville.
New/Transfer Students
Students transferring from another institution, or from another school within the University of Louisville, must meet with an Education academic counselor before they will be able to register for classes.
Freshmen
Students who have earned fewer than 30 credit hours are required to be advised prior to registration.
Sophomores
Students who have earned 30-59 credit hours are considered sophomores. While sophomores are not required to be advised, it is strongly encouraged!
Juniors
Students who have earned 60-89 credit hours are considered juniors. Juniors typically meet with their assigned faculty advisor in the major department.
Seniors
Students who have earned 90 or more credit hours are considered seniors. Seniors are urged to meet with their assigned faculty advisor in preparation for graduation.
