Counselors for the New Millennium
The Counselors for the New Millennium (CNM) program offers minority graduate students financial and collegial support in a dynamic and intensive program for school counseling. This program employs a cohort model to build strong support groups that often last well beyond certification and graduation.
The Counselors for the New Millennium is a grant-funded program for minority teachers in Kentucky who aspire to become school counselors. Applicants to the CNM program must first be admitted to the Master of Education in Counseling and Personnel Services with a concentration in School Counseling. Upon admission to the school counseling program, applicants’ names are submitted to the Counselors for the New Millennium advisory committee for consideration. Interviews and recommendations will complete the application process to the CNM grant program.
For further information, please contact the Educational and Counseling Psychology Department at (502) 852-6884 or Dr. Sandra Duncan at sldunc01 @louisville.edu.

Graduate students in CEHD are also encouraged to check with other areas of the University. Below are links to opportunities outside of CEHD.
University Fellowships
University fellowships are offered through the School of Interdisciplinary and Graduate Studies (SIGS). These fellowships are awarded based on nomination by department or program chair only. Self nominations by candidates is not accepted.
