Chris is in first year of the graduate program in sport administration. He has made an immediate contribution to the University of Louisville through his work as an intern with the Athletic Ticket Office and he has had an even greater impact on the SPAD Club itself by serving as a member of the Executive Board. Chris is also helping to make this year’s SPAD Golf Scramble a success by leading the committee in charge of operations for the entire event.

Prior to this year, Chris spent his undergraduate career at Louisiana State University. He earned a degree in Public Relations and worked in Facilities and Event Operations for the LSU Athletic Department. Chris plans on graduating from UofL next fall and he hopes to continue his successful career in sport administration by seeking a full-time position in college athletics.

November’s student of the month is first year graduate student, Nick Schroeder.  During the past month Nick has taken on a multitude of responsibilities and completed each one with a smile.  Schroeder is currently the editor in chief of the SPAD departmental newsletter.  He is leading a team of students through the creation and production of the newsletter including; distributing assignments, editing stories, working with local businesses, and contacting alumni.  Schroeder brings organization and leadership to a challenging and time consuming task.  Nick also serves as the Business Officer on the SPAD Club executive board.

          New to the Ville Nick is from Blacksburg, Virginia.  He received his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Elon University in 2004.  Getting experience and helping out is also important to Nick, he currently works in the U of L Compliance Office as a student intern.
