Quotes from attendees in previous years...

"The Spring Research Conference was a great place to present exploratory work on a new research idea. The feedback I received from faculty and other graduate students helped shape the next steps of the work, and I was able to learn from researchers outside of my specific research field of science education, but in the broader area of educational research." – Stephanie B. Philipp, Doctoral Student, College of Education and Human Development, University of Louisville

"I learned the ropes about academic conferences by submitting and then presenting my first scholarly research effort at the Spring Research Conference. Since then I have presented at two conferences in my field. The SRC proved to be a valuable milestone on my dissertation journey." – Denise Cumberland, Doctoral Candidate University of Louisville

"The SRC gave me an opportunity to present my research while it was still in its early stages and probably not ready to present elsewhere. It was good practice and an easy first experience. Despite the professional feel, the other students and faculty really wanted to see you succeed and gave valuable comments and suggestions about the presentation and the research." – Scott Ingle, Doctoral Student, College of Education and Human Development, University of Louisville

"I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to hear my students present their work, and to hear what others are doing across our region. I am consistently impressed with the quality of scholarship and the professionalism of the student-run program." – Dr. Tom Tretter, Professor, College of Education and Human Development, University of Louisville

"As a new part-time PhD student, I found the Spring Research Conference to be an incredibly valuable experience! The idea of beginning research while working full-time was daunting, but having the opportunity to see the great work being presented by others in my shoes really energized me and inspired me to immediately dive in to my own endeavors!" – Liz Popelka, Doctoral student, College of Education and Human Development, University of Louisville

"I recommend doctoral students take advantage of this great opportunity to present their research in a friendly and constructive environment. I look forward to seeing you at the conference in March." – Dr. W. Blake Haselton, Interim Dean, College of Education and Human Development, University of Louisville
