The University of Louisville 's College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) and the Ohio Valley Educational Cooperative (OVEC) have a formal agreement to collaborate on the accomplishment of six goals:

• Support the improvement of student achievement in special education and other categorical programs
• Ensure the continued operation of Professional Development Schools
• Assist with recruitment of teachers and administrators into CEHD programs
• Support teachers seeking National Board of Professional Teaching Standards certification
• Provide opportunities for administrative training and support in ISLLC Standards
• Involve the university in meeting the evaluation and research needs of districts and schools
