Center for Health Promotion and Prevention Science Research
The mission of the Center for Health Promotion and Prevention Science Research is to collaborate with local partners and conduct research on disease prevention and health promotion strategies that serve as models for best practices in diverse settings and populations.
The goals of the center are to:
- Create an interdisciplinary research team to address health issues in the metropolitan area
- Collaborate with Health Promotion Schools of Excellence in Jefferson County Public Schools to share best practices in promoting positive health outcomes in school-aged children and adolescents
- Conduct research related to educational strategies for reducing health disparities within the metropolitan area
- Encourage best practices through dissemination of current research findings in health promotion and prevention science

Campus Health Initiative
