Chenoweth Elementary at the Energizing Kentucky Conference in Lexington
Chenoweth Environmental Team students had an exciting experience at the Energizing Kentucky Conference in Lexington. They worked individually and collaboratively to create excellent models of alternative energy sources. We had a bio-mass model; a solar oven; and a wind turbine model to go with our posters on the solar feature in our outdoor classroom. The girls were quite adept at explaining how each of the models worked and how they could reduce fossil fuel use. Our display had many visitors who seemed genuinely interested in the work of these young environmentalists! It was a great opportunity!
