Family-Based Assistance
KATC staff members are prepared to provide families with an overview of available resources and interventions. KATC, in collaboration with regional support groups, provides workshops and training seminars on topics of specific interest to family members. If your support group would like to schedule an activity, please complete this form KATC Workshops and Presentations and return it to the KATC.
In addition, KATC staff are available to discuss general autism information with individual families in the form of a family phone consultation. To request this service, please complete this Family Meeting Request Form and return it to the KATC.
Community-Based Services
KATC is currently establishing statewide supports and training activities for all professionals and parents who are involved in promoting gains for individuals with autism by offering:
Presentations - KATC staff attend local, regional, & state conferences and meetings to present to professionals and parents information on autism and effective strategies for working with individuals with autism.

School-Based Team Consultations and Assistance
Staff members of the Kentucky Autism Training Center provide school-based services, working directly with teams of professionals and parents to facilitate their development, implementation, and evaluation of educational and community-based programs for children and adolescents with autism.
Programs in Special Education
In conjunction with the University of Louisville's College of Education and Human Development, KATC provides programs in special education [PDF], including graduate programs in special education emphasizing support for students with autism.
