Benefits Planning Outreach Programs

Assisting Social Security recipients to go to work without fear of losing benefits.

Work Incentives for Individuals who Qualify for Disability Benefits from the Social Security Administration.

Benefits Plus is a statewide program funded by Social Security and administered by two centers for independent living; the Center for Accessible Living in Louisville , Kentucky , and Independence Place in Lexington , Kentucky . 

The centers will make available a Benefits Specialist, a knowledgeable advocate, who will help you understand complex work incentive program requirements.

This program helps SSI and SSDI disability beneficiaries between the ages of 14 and 64 understand their work options so that they may make more informed choices regarding work.  The program provides information about federal, state, and local work incentive programs and related issues.

As a part of this program, you will receive information about the availability of protection and advocacy services that are available without charge.

 

Professionals with:

•  Information on Medical Benefits, Social Security, Transitional Assistance, Public Housing, Workers Compensation and more

•  Personalized benefits planning and assistance

•  Understanding how working will affect your benefits

•  Ongoing assistance on issues concerning your benefits
