Educators, parents, and administrators will leave this regional workshop with materials in hand to transform their environments to better meet the needs of children with autism. Participants will begin the day looking at the red flags for autism and addressing the needs associated with the triad of characteristics of children with autism. Strategies based in evidence based practices will be discussed in the context of everyday situations. Join us for this interactive workshop at the beautiful Jenny Wiley State Resort.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. Participants will leave with an understanding of what is autism. 
2. Participants will be introduced to the use of of evidenced based instructional practices for children 10 & under. 
3. Participants will leave with hands on materials to utilize the knowledge they have gained through this training. 
4. Participants will leave with an understanding of strategies to utilize to change behavior.
