Norma Thomas

Norma Thomas is the mother of 2 girls, Leila [age 4, diagnosed with autism at 28 months] and Lara [age 21 months]. She and her family moved to Louisville about 3 years ago from New York. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Arts with a concentration in Organizational Development from Columbia University Teachers College. She is currently a stay-at-home mom overseeing a home-based program in which everyone is ardently working with Leila to help her find the "silver lining". Norma's passion is for participating in endeavors, such as the KATC Board’s, in capturing, creating, and disseminating knowledge on the subject of autism for the improvement of the lives of individuals with autism in Kentucky. Her dream is that some day, in the near future, Kentucky will become a premiere state as a champion for the rights of people with special needs.
