Kelly Morris

Kelly Morris, RN, MSN, DNPC, is the parent of a young boy with autism. She currently lives in Daviess County, KY. Her passion is the increased education concerning autism and other developmental delays among healthcare providers. In particular, she is interested in the development or expansion of communicative tools and educational interventions to assist healthcare providers in interacting with non-verbal individuals, particularly the autistic child to improve their healthcare experiences. She is currently an Associate Professor of Nursing at Owensboro Community and Technical College. She earned her Associate and Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing from Kentucky Wesleyan College, her Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Evansville, and is a candidate for graduation from the Doctorate of Nursing Practice program at the University of Kentucky in 2009. The focus of her capstone project will be healthcare and its interaction with autism.
