Catherine Braccio Durkan is a parent member of the Advisory Board to the KY Autism Training Center. She received her B.S.N. from DeSales University in Pennsylvania. She is a member of The Autism Society of America, the Autism Society of Kentuckiana and the Families for Effective Autism Treatment. She, her husband William, and their three children reside in Elizabethtown, KY.

Their son, Tom, was diagnosed with Autism at age four. Tom is now a young man of eighteen years and will be graduating from high school in May, 2008.
