Kerry Charron is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Cadre and Faculty Development Course; she teaches Organization and Administration in Higher Education and College Teaching and Learning. She holds a doctorate in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, a Master of Professional Studies in Human Relations from New York Institute of Technology, a Masters of Arts in English from Western Connecticut State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from State University of New York at Albany. Dr. Charron began her higher education career as an undergraduate composition and literature instructor, and since then she has held administrative, research, and faculty positions at a wide range of public and private higher education institutions mainly teaching and working with nontraditional student populations. These institutions included a historically black college, a Hispanic-serving institution, two community colleges, an online institution serving military students, and an Ivy League university. Her research interests include diversity in higher education, teaching and learning in military contexts, and curriculum design. Dr. Charron serves as a book reviewer for the Journal of African American History.
