Dr. Sherretz's curriculum vita
Dr. Sherretz is an instructor in the Early Childhood Program in the Department of Teaching and Learning. She completed her Ed. D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Instructional Improvement from Georgia Southern University in December of 2006. Before coming to the University of Louisville, Dr. Sherretz worked at the State University of New York in Potsdam as the coordinator of an extension site. Besides her administrative responsibilities at Potsdam, Christine taught various classes in curriculum studies, educational foundations, and literacy. Dr. Sherretz has 12 years of classroom teaching experience in grades 1-6 in regular education and special education. She holds Kentucky Certifications in the areas of Early Childhood, Reading, and Special Education.

Professional Activities
- 1998: Tenderheart Learning Center Grant: This grant supplied the monies necessary to start a daycare on campus for age's 2-12 children at Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, North Dakota.
- 1993: T.A.L.K. Thematic Active Learning for Kids Grant: This grant was used for the implementation of a pilot program for a multi-age classroom. Collaboration with the learning disabilities teacher and resource teachers to provide an inclusive service delivery model, active learning, authentic assessment, and team teaching were all major components of this program.
