SPAD Wins 2011 NSF Cup
Graduate students in the CEHD's Sports Administration degree program recently won the 2011 National Sports Forum (NSF) Annual Case Cup. It is a tough competition which allows students the opportunity to apply what they are learning in their degree programs. As part of the award, they receive an automatic bid into next year’s competition that will be held in Oklahoma City.
SPAD Students Host Successful Fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House
On November 13th, 144 participants competed in the Louisville Cornhole Cup that was organized by UofL Sport Administration students and sponsored by Merrill Lynch. The tournament was held at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
IDEALS Student Program Receives Community Engagement Award
The Louisville IDEALS Student Group, an initiative that is housed in the College of Education and Human Development Department of Health and Sport Sciences’ Sport Administration program, and is a joint project with the Muhammad Ali Institute for Peace and Justice, was awarded the 2011 UofL Outstanding Community Engagement Award in the Student Category.
CEHD Student Selected for Alice Eaves Barns Award
Brentin Ocker, a graduate of the MS in Sport Administration program, has been selected by the UofL School of Interdisciplinary and Graduate Studies to receive the 2011 Alice Eaves Barns Award.
SPAD Program Featured in Business First
The CEHD’s Department of Health and Sport Sciences’ Sport Administration (SPAD) program was highlighted in the August 19, 2011 edition of Business First as a great way for students to get a “foot in the door” of the sport industry.
