Pat Keiffner's curriculum vita
Ms. Keiffner's professional interests include promoting the psychomotor skill domain of teaching/learning within the comprehensive curriculum program for grades K-12. She comes to the University after completing 28 years of service, as an educator and coach in the Jefferson County Public Schools. Ms. Keiffner is an advocate of promoting and maintaining health and fitness opportunities for all students to benefit from within the school environment. She has served as a coach for area Special Olympic participants in both winter and summer games. She worked in elementary, middle and high school during her years with JCPS. Ms. Keiffner continues to receive the "Champion of Children" award for her roles as a volunteer in the schools. Her partnership with the area school systems have given many of the HSS majors numerous field work and volunteer opportunities in physical education and practical living skills. Community programs like: Special Olympics, 4-H Clubs, Scout troops, school health fairs, ethnic dance fairs and family resource centers are many of the sites that our MAT and HSS majors give presentations at. The topics are varied within the benefits of living a healthy and fit lifestyle. Her research interests are Teacher Prep and University/ Lab School Partnerships.
