- Professional development issues of school counselors
- The role of the school counselor in working with special education students

Professional Activities
- While at the Center for School Counseling Outcome Research I engaged in a qualitative (Q-Sort method) research project that examined the relationship between K-12 school counselors and K-12 school principals. This study focused on the role of the school counselors and how their actual and perceived role affects the school counselor/principal relationship.
- While at the Center for School Counseling Outcome Research I engaged in the evaluation of the Bridges Transitions career exploration and awareness program in middle schools and high schools across the country.
- While at the Center for School Counseling Outcome Research I engaged in a multi-state evaluation of The Real Game, a classroom-based career awareness and exploration program. The purpose of the evaluation is to determine the effect of participating in The Real Game on a variety of psychological measures, academic achievement, and other behavioral indicators.
- While at the Center for School Counseling Outcome Research I engaged in a multi-school (K-12), state-wide appraisal of career-based curriculums. The purpose of the project is to expand the 2005 Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs, resulting in the development of an implementation guide that documents how Massachusetts school counselors plan for and deliver components of the Model.
