The Kentucky Department of Education has long been at the forefront in efforts to close the student achievement gap through strategic partnerships and collaborations. These efforts focus on a variety of strategies targeting high quality instruction and assessment integrated with emerging educational technology and professional development. These partnerships have initiated research and development efforts resulting in improved statewide online assessment tools and access to digital curriculum materials through the former Kentucky Accessible Materials Consortium. Support has also been provided for Universal Design for Learning initiatives through statewide model schools. The University of Louisville in partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education continue our efforts to help all students reach their highest potential in life.
