Time Line for DR Test 2007

12/11/07 (Tuesday)

8:00 AM - Arrived at SunGard

8:30 AM - TSM syback reboot

8:50 AM - Trouble booting from UXA320 (calling Paul)

9:00 AM - Welcome to AIX

9:05 AM - Sysback

9:15 AM - Loading TSM from UXA

9:45 AM - Loading OS - phase II

10:25 AM  - Rebooting from Disk

10:35 AM  - TSM up

11:25 AM - Can't ping 3494

11:25 AM - 3494 has 6 char volser

11:25 AM - Go to 3584 or 8 char 3494??

11:30 AM - Start building TSM vgs

11:30 AM  - 36 GB Luns, not 20 GB 6 s expected

12:10 PM - GS built

12:10 PM - Moving to 3584

12:45 PM - Zoning Done

12:45 PM - Edit devconfig

1:00 PM - sb14 Up loading GUI modules

1:30 PM - Formatted Database and log

1:30 PM - Restored Database failed.  Can't find Vol

2:45 PM - Assigned Vol to library via web interface 

3:00 PM - Edit devconfig file

3:30 PM - Finished setup of 5b14

3:40 PM - Finished

3:40 PM - Reg License  etc.

4:25 PM - Database backup started

4:30 PM - Drives redefined to TSM

4:30 PM - TSM services are available

4:40 PM - Raven Sysback reboot started

4:58 PM - Non boot

5:00 PM - Had to rebuild drives and restore lexport on tsm

6:00 PM - Update destroyed Vols

6:30 PM - Had to reinstall 5b14 system installed to fiber drives

6:35 PM - Restored lexport

6:45 PM - Restore Num boat

6:50 PM - Restart Raven Nim/sysback

7:00 PM - Restart again 12/3/07 tapes seem flakey

7:00 PM - Had to build the file system disk space on c0d0 for boot, swap, 1 with fdisk commands

7:45 PM - Sync Dish

8:00 PM - ODSEPM bootp; let 0611

8:00 PM - Still having issues with Network not being able to ss DSN servers. Had to add hoes dile entries. Called Dave Cox

8:05 PM - Sync done - moving on

8:07 PM - Restore fs + lv

8:15 PM - Reboot

8:25 PM - Reboot 2nd time

8:30 PM - ODSEPM rebuilt NIM boot + restart

8:30 PM - /bsr/devel

8:40 PM - ODSEPM boot to SMS

9:00 PM - Installed first part of ub14 same DSN issues as 5b14

10:00 PM - Fix GRUB boot issue

10:00 PM - Raven - restore / fix file system

10:00 PM - Spoke to Dave Cox. He said, setup looks correct for 4b14 and 5b14 will address tomorrow

10:00 PM - 12:00 - Fix Grub boot issue

10:30 PM - Working out boot issues with system seeing correct drives c0d0 for boot

11:00 PM - Had to do manual remake of the grub for booting

12/12/2007 (Wednesday)

12:00 AM - finished the GRUB boot issue

1:00 AM - Raven restore/fix file system

1:00 PM - SB14 up loading Gui MODULES

1:00 PM - Two application Servers ready

2:00 AM - Raven restore/fix file system

2:30 AM - Restarted TSM

3:00 AM - Raven restore/fix file system

3:00 AM - Athena sysback started

6:30 AM - Athena sysback finished

                Athena real slow boot

9:10 AM - Sysback restore started

9:45 AM - Sync disk

10:20 AM - Restore FS and LV

10:45 AM - Reboot to disk started

11:10 AM - Reboot to disk

11:40 AM - Post installation

11:45 AM - Rebooting to disk

12:45 PM - Only 4 tape drives

2:00 PM - Blackboard Database Server up

5:00 PM - Unix Blackboard restore started

5:15 PM - ULBC5B1 restored

5:35 PM - ULBC5B1 restored

12/13/2007 (Thursday)

12:00 AM - does not see hdisk on reboot - SG thinks it's a driver issue

                  booting to 5-2 install CD

12:15 AM - maint shell; cfgmgr - vi /devledx

9:00 AM - Identified problem with Blackboard nfs service

3:30 PM - Resolved problem with nfs service

12/14/2007 (Friday)

8:20 AM - Began testing Blackboard, Mysoft, BSR Advance

9:15 AM - Advance succesully tested

9:20 AM - Blackboard successfully tested

9:45 ULink running slow, once signed into ulink the application runs good
