Programs and Awards
The Parent of the Year Award seeks to recognize parent(s)/caregiver(s) who have made a significant impact and contribution in the life of a UofL student. All UofL Undergraduate and Graduate students are eligible to nominate their parent(s)/caregiver(s) for this award. The winning parent(s) will receive a commemorative plaque presented by Dr. Michael Mardis, Dean of Students. Nominate Your Parent!
Club Program Committee (CPC)
The Club Programming Committee is a joint initiative coordinated by Student Government Association (SGA) and the Dean of Students Office. SGA has made a major financial contribution to support CPC. Other departments have also provided funding (Dean of Students Office, Provost, Undergraduate Affairs, and Housing.) The CPC funded 66 events totaling over $45,600 for the 2010 Fall semester.
The Harold Adams Award is a memorial tribute to Harold “Butch” Adams, a 1963 UofL graduate and former Assistant VP for Student Life. This award recognizes a faculty or staff member that has xcelled in contributing to a diverse and vibrant student experience on campus through their extraordinary involvement in the lives of students and positively impacting their attitudes and behaviors.
The Student Awards were created in 1999 to recognize outstanding achievement amongst student organizations and departments in many different areas of the University of Louisville. These awards are open to all student groups and everyone is encouraged to submit applications or nominate a group or event that they feel is worthy of recognition. The Student Awards are presented every April at an awards celebration.
