The respondent student may appeal a conduct hearing decision in all cases. In cases that involve sexual misconduct or crimes of violence, the complainant and/or respondent may appeal the conduct hearing decision.

The respondent student and/or the complainant may request an appeal for one or all of the following reasons. For each reason(s) you select, please provide your rationale.

Reason A: The hearing was not conducted fairly and in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Code of Student Conduct Reason B: There was not sufficient information presented at the hearing that a violation of the prohibited conduct section occurred Reason C: The sanction(s) imposed was not appropriate Reason D: There is new evidence that was not known to the person requesting the review at the time of the hearing and that, if presented at the hearing, would more than likely have altered the hearing decision. The new information must be included with the Student's Request for Appeal. Also, the Student must show that the new information could not have been presented at the administrative review or hearing
