The Saturday Academy is sponsored by the College of Arts & Sciences (University of Louisville) in collaboration with the Jefferson County Public Schools, with support from Councilwoman Cheri Bryant Hamilton, the Kentucky African American Heritage Foundation, the Louisville Urban League and the University of Louisville Signature Partnership Initiative.

Saturday Academy: April 2010
African World/Black History seminars led by Dr. Blaine Hudson from
11:00am-12:30pm. This semester’s focus is on Black Louisville. After
history, these community forums on issues and culture follow from
12:45pm-2:00pm:
April 17 “Racial Profiling: Vehicle Stops: Research in Kentucky
and Louisville

April 24 "Black Club Movement Series” - The Yearlings
Regular sessions are free and open to the public, and meet in the
DuValle Education Center Cafeteria, 3610 Bohne Avenue, in the Park
DuValle Community, north of Algonquin Parkway at 35th Street.
