"Africa in April". This year's theme is "Contemporary African Visual Art", and will consist of a week's worth of events held on both the campus and in the community.

The African Student Union, the Black Faculty/Staff Association and the Cultural Center will host a "Let's Talk" Luncheon that deals with perceptions of not only continental Africans, but those that consider themselves to be of African descent in the Diaspora. With that, aspects of African visual art will be tied in loosely as well to show its influence on all forms of artistic expression, particularly European art.
