The International Center will host the largest of four new international student orientations for approximately 100 students coming to the University of Louisville to commence study in the Fall 2010 semester.  The orientation will be held on Thursday August 19 in the Chao Auditorium in the Ekstrom Library.  The new students are in degree, non degree, undergraduate, and  graduate study programs.    The orientation program will focus on immigration regulations and maintenance of status, banking needs, university processes relating to Campus ID cards, registration, payment of fees, and health insurance.   A Resource Fair will be held during lunch to give students an opportunity to ask questions and gather information from various University and community offices.  Trips to social security and shopping are organized throughout the week.    Leaders of Recognized Student Organizations and others will discuss social programs available for international students.  The orientation program will end with a Welcome Picnic organized by a local community volunteer group.
