- Restorative justice is a broad term used to describe a way of thinking, a philosophy or a social movement to institutionalize peaceful approaches to harm, problem-solving and violations of legal and human rights instead of, or in addition to, using retributive models. Restorative justice seeks to repair harm, reduce risk and build communities.

- The Clothesline Project, an organization that advocates against family domestic violence and abuse. The project goals are to give women the opportunity to break the silence and speak out about abuse by decorating color coded shirts; create a visual display of shirts for the public to see just how widespread abuse is and to let abusers know that victims will no longer be quiet.

The discussants will share, through telling their stories, on their immigration to the United States, and their perceptions of themselves and expectations of this new country. How those perceptions have evolved other time and their identities and perceptions as an immigrant. As of 2009 there are approximately 128,000 foreign-born individuals who were citizens of the Commonwealth.
