Bigelow Hall, Belknap Campus
Dr. Steve Perry
Founder of Capital Preparatory Magnet School
CNN Education Contributor, Author, TV Host
Dr. Perry is in a hurry to transform the educational experience for all children. Born into poverty, he believes that success in life is determined by where you end, not where you start. This philosophy inspired him to transform the lives of poor and minority children by providing them with access to a college education, regardless of their socioeconomic or academic background. Dr. Steve Perry’s new television show, “Save My Son," is a powerful new series premiering on TV One Wednesday, September 26 at 9:00 p.m. EST. In his show Dr. Perry works with families and celebrity mentors to help rescue young sons from a life of bad influences and wrong choices.
This event is FREE and open to the public! No tickets are required and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis (note: certain sections will be reserved for student and youth groups – call 502.852.5719 for group reservations).
