Sarah Lanier's book, "Foreign to Familiar, Guide to Hot and Cold Climate Cultures", is used as a trainer by agencies and organizations and will be the basis of her discussion. Drawing upon her experiences abroad, she offers insights on topics including relationship vs. task orientation; direct vs. indirect communication; individualism vs. group identity; and different concepts of hospitality.
