Blackface 2011: Still a Long Way to Go?
The Cultural Center, Black Faculty/Staff Association, and A&S Office of International, Diversity and Outreach Programs will host a "Let's Talk" luncheon on the subject of Blackface. What exactly is Blackface? What is its history? Is it an issue today and if so, why is this still such a sensitive topic? The Cultural Center Emissaries, the A&S Inclusion and Equity Interns and members of the Bias Incident Response Team (B.I.R.T.) will lead the discussion.
