Tickets are on sale for Theatre Arts/African American Theatre Program production of “Once on This Island,” a musical by the Tony Award-winning team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, which opens Jan. 30 at The Playhouse. The play, based on the novel “My Love My Love; or The Peasant Girl” by Rosa Guy, tells a story of a romance between a peasant girl and the rich city boy she saves from death while weaving Haitian religious beliefs and socioeconomic themes into the story.
