Student Info
Students applying for financial aid should pick up the free booklet "The Student Guide". This form is available in U of L's student aid office, as well as the financial aid offices of other colleges and universities, in the counseling offices of local high schools, and at additional sites at Ft. Knox, Shelby Campus, and the Belknap Campus Ekstrom Library or Adult Commuter Center This explains the federal Student Financial Assistant (SFA) Programs. Students may also complete a FAFSA online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov There is also a free CD "the Student Aid Audio Guide" available for students with visual or other print impairments. Get it by calling 1-800-4 FED AID (1-800-433-3243).

Kentucky Department of Vocational Rehabilitation
Persons with a physical or mental impairment which constitutes or results in a substantial impediment to employment and who can benefit in terms of employment outcome from vocational rehabilitation services may qualify. They provide services for students who will be seeking employment. Often times students will receive aid throughout school.

The Commonwealth of Kentucky has several financial aid programs that are administered by The Kentucky Higher Education Assistant Authority.
National Center for Learning Disabilities
Anne Ford Scholarship:

ELA Foundation Scholarship
The ELA Foundation Scholarship applications are due June 1 of the current year (should June 1 be a holiday, mail your packet early). Applications will be available on the ELA web site in January of the current year. This scholarship is available for women with disabilities pursuing graduate degrees.
