The Disability Resource Center assists students with disabilities by providing guidance and accommodations to ensure equal access so that all students can take full advantage of the courses, programs, and activities offered by the University of Louisville.
Admissions:
- Provide enrollment and admissions information
- Provide Interpreter services for admissions, registration or related services
- Assist with test accommodations required for admissions or placement
- Provide referral information for financial aid process
Academic:
- Qualified/licensed interpreters
- Consultation to determine appropriate individual support services
- Serve as a liaison between student and instructor
The following support services are coordinated and/or provided, upon request, for all academic related events:
- Sign Language Interpreting
- Speech-to-Text
- Note-taking Services
Other:
- Provide advocacy, awareness and referral information concerning disability related legislation
- Serve as a resource for appropriate referrals to additional university support services
- Library consisting of disability related materials and publications available
- Provide information on current issues, events and other services available within the community
