Qualified students will demonstrate use of assistive technology to reduce the impact of disability and enhance access to textbooks and other educational materials.

This student outcome will be measured using two assessments:

 

a) Qualified students will use assistive technology in the Disability Resource Center (DRC) computer labs, other campus labs, other campus facilities, and/or at residence for general study and research.

 

b) Qualified students will request the use of assistive technology to access exams and/or textbooks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

a) Goal is 30% of qualified students will use assistive technology in DRC computer labs, other campus facilities, and/or at residence.

 

 

b)Goal is 65% of qualified students will use assistive technology to access exams and/or textbooks

a) DRC staff will continue to promote the use of assistive technology to qualified students in the following ways:

 

**Development of a document describing the availability of assistive technology and benefits of usage.

 

**Provision of the document to qualified students at in-take meetings.

 

**Development of additional information on assistive technology for inclusion on DRC web page.

This student outcome will be measured using three assessments:

 

a)Identify scholarships specific to students with disabilities.

a) Work Study students, student workers, and volunteers will demonstrate successful work habits including initiative, positive attitude, time management, professional behavior, and quality customer service.

This student outcome will be measured using two assessments:

 

a) Work Study students, student assistants, and volunteers will evaluate themselves using the work habits rubric. Supervisors will communicate stated expectations and realistic achievement of expectations.

 

b) Disability Ressource Center staff will evaluate student staff using the work habits rubric.
