Outcomes & Assessment

The Disability Resource Center (DRC) staff is committed to the provision of effective accommodations and advocacy for students with disabilities. Defining a program mission and programmatic goals is essential for the efficient operation of our center. On-going evaluation and assessment of our activities lead to continuous improvements and increase our ability to transform our campus into a more welcoming, barrier-free environment for students with disabilities.

MISSION & GOALS

ANNUAL REPORTĀ 2006 The DRC prepares an annual summary of major activities and assessment activities. This is the most recent Annual Report.

ASSESSMENT OVERVIEW 2003 & 2004 A summary of assessment activities for 2003 and 2004.

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES In 2005, the DRC began the process of identifying specific Student Learning Outcomes. The assessment of student learning is not an end in itself but a vehicle for educational improvement. Our plan is to develop learning outcomes for students, to devise ways to measure the effectiveness of our efforts, and to improve our services in ways that benefit students.

DIVISION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS The Disability Resource Center is part of the Division of Student Affairs which provides a Division wide philosophy of assessment as well as education and support needed for Student Affair units to fully participate in the assessment of student learning/development and program services.
