Instructor An instructor who, within the past year, has shown a true commitment to making his/her classroom and class materials accessible to any and all students.
Disabled Student A U of L student who has demonstrated a commitment to his or her own successful education and opened doors toward making barrier-free education for all disabled students a reality.
Disabled Alumni A U of L graduate with a disability who has not only become a success in his/her career field but continues to raise disability awareness within the community.
Open Category Any individual or group who has helped disabled students to overcome barriers and/or raise awareness about the needs of people with disabilities.
Bill Cox Lifetime Achievement Award An individual or group who has shown a life long commitment to disability issues. This annual award is named for Mr. Bill Cox, who developed and implemented disability support services on the U of L campus.
Person(s) selected in each category will be recognized at the Disability Awards Luncheon, April 10, 2008.
