Lewis Jones, DMD, MD

Dr. Jones grew up in Kingwood, Texas.  He attended Brigham Young University (BA—English, 2002), University of Connecticut School of Dentistry (DMD, 2007), and University of Alabama at Birmingham (MD, 2010). Following completion of his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at UAB, he completed a fellowship in cleft lip/palate and craniofacial surgery at Charleston Area Medical Center.  It was during this year that he was able to further his surgical knowledge and skills in the areas of primary cleft lip and palate repairs as well as the treatment of many other congenital conditions affecting the head and neck.

 

He joined the University of Louisville maxillofacial surgery program as an associate professor in 2015.  He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), and a member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA), American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), and American Dental Education Association (ADEA).

 

Dr. Jones practices broad-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery with a special interest in pediatric anomalies including cleft lip and palate from birth to adolescence.  In addition to treating pediatric patients here in the United States, he has also enjoyed volunteering his services abroad in Central and South America.
