National Give Kids a Smile kickoff is Feb. 1

The American Dental Society and key national sponsors including Henry Schein Dental will be in Louisville Jan. 31 – Feb.1 to highlight Smile Kentucky as a model program for the national kickoff of Give Kids a Smile day.

The American Dental Association began the Give Kids A Smile program in 2003 as a way for ADA members to join with others in the community to provide dental services to underserved children. The program initially began as a one-day event in February, but has since grown to local and national events year-round.

2013 Smile Kentucky treatment day starts bright and early the morning of Feb. 1, and care will be provided to many local and regional children in need. The UofL School of Dentistry suspends its normal business operations for the entire day to provide this important service to the community.
