Seeking Common Ground: Strategic Enrollment Management Planning for Student Success
Faculty and staff, become part of the conversation about implementing UofL’s strategic plan for students.
Friday, April 12
11:30 a.m. – Lunch
Noon – Public Presentation
Floyd Theatre, Student Activities Center
We invite you to a public presentation of an enrollment plan for student success at the University of Louisville. The presentation, by AACRAO Senior Consultant, Stan Henderson, will detail the recommendations to be included in a final written plan designed to help the university meet the student graduation goals spelled out in the UofL 2020 Strategic Plan. The plan is the result of a yearlong consultancy, including four on-site visits by Henderson to UofL. Twenty different groups of faculty, staff, and students, totaling over 150 individuals, met with the consultant. A UofL Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) Project Team, made up of faculty, staff, and administration, has provided feedback and input to the development of the recommendations.
Included in the presentation will be recommendations for new policies, processes, and practices that would affect advising and career coaching, transfer students (both new and intra-university), part-time students, and class availability, among others. It is expected that some of the recommendations will require rethinking certain aspects of the UofL culture. We want the widest possible range of the campus community to hear about these possible new directions.
