Innovations in Technology Award for Teaching and Learning

by sjice001 last modified Jul 07, 2011 10:22 AM

Educational excellence is at the forefront of the university’s mission and vision, and instructional technology plays a critical role in achieving our educational excellence milestones.

To emphasize this role and recognize effective uses of technology in the classroom, the Delphi Center administers the Innovations in Technology Award for Teaching and Learning.

Congratulations to 2009’s award winner, Dr. Heather Huxol!

Dr. Huxol received the award during the Delphi Center’s TechnoGear educational technology showcase in March. She was recognized for using technology to make a live conference featuring clinical cases available to medical residents in an online format. In addition to offering conference credit to residents unable to attend the live conference, the online format enables them to revisit the cases for learning purposes.

Learn more about Dr. Huxol’s use of online software to improve learning during a January 22, 2010 Dine & Discover session on HSC.
