Delphi Advisory Board
The Delphi Advisory Board is a group of representatives from the University of Louisville that aids the Delphi Center in achieving its goal of enhancing pedagogy at our institution. It is comprised of Delphi Center staff and faculty representatives from the principal schools and colleges at the university. The Board is chaired by the executive director of the Delphi Center. Meetings are held three to four times a year; the majority of work is done in sub-committees.
Role of Board Members
Board members assist the Center in the following ways:
1. Act as advocates and liaisons to their colleges and schools, as well as the broader university community.
2. Administer and review the Delphi Center’s grants and awards programs.
3. Identify major needs or opportunities regarding teaching and learning, technology in the classroom, and online learning across the campus.
4. Assist with long-term strategic planning for the Delphi Center.
5. Serve on the Advisory Board Committee as a whole and at least one sub-committee annually.
Sub-committees and Functions:
Each member of the Advisory Board also serves in one of three sub-committees. These sub-committees reflect the major areas of the Delphi Center: Teaching and Learning, Online Learning, and Teaching with Technology. The members have analogues duties they perform in the context of each of each sub-committee. These duties include administering and reviewing grants or rewards; identifying major faculty needs; and assisting in long-term strategic planning.
