Tegrity, the class capture software, is available in every Blackboard course. Here are some key points to consider before you decide to use Tegrity Campus.
- Internet Explorer (Safari for Macs) must be used to download the Tegrity Recorder. Firefox can be used after the client is downloaded but it is not as stable.
- Review the Tegrity materials before you use Tegrity.
- Administrative rights are needed on the PC to install the Tegrity Recorder. After the initial download, administrative rights are not needed to record Tegrity sessions.
- Copying, editing, or removing Tegrity recordings in Blackboard must be done on the Tegrity Course Management page.
- To record audio, your computer must be equipped with a microphone. Visit IT's website for suggested microphones.
- Instructors please note Tegrity recordings will be saved on your local drive as well as the Tegrity server.
- Please contact IT (852-7997) with any Tegrity questions you may have.
- Please note: Tegrity servers will restore the "Tegrity Classes" menu item if it is removed. We are currently seeking a solution with Tegrity.
