Tegrity feature in Blackboard

by sjice001 last modified Jul 08, 2011 11:52 AM

Tegrity, the class capture software, is available in every Blackboard course. Here are some key points to consider before you decide to use Tegrity Campus.

  • Internet Explorer (Safari for Macs) must be used to download the Tegrity Recorder. Firefox can be used after the client is downloaded but it is not as stable.
  • Review the Tegrity materials before you use Tegrity.
  • Administrative rights are needed on the PC to install the Tegrity Recorder. After the initial download, administrative rights are not needed to record Tegrity sessions.
  • Copying, editing, or removing Tegrity recordings in Blackboard must be done on the Tegrity Course Management page.
  • To record audio, your computer must be equipped with a microphone. Visit IT's website for suggested microphones.
  • Instructors please note Tegrity recordings will be saved on your local drive as well as the Tegrity server.
  • Please contact IT (852-7997) with any Tegrity questions you may have.
  • Please note: Tegrity servers will restore the "Tegrity Classes" menu item if it is removed. We are currently seeking a solution with Tegrity.
