Training

In the event of an emergency, the smooth execution of emergency plans and procedures can be achieved only if everyone is thoroughly familiar with what is expected of them. When you are trained to respond to an emergency, the risk of panic, personal injury and loss of property is significantly reduced.

Management and supervisors should review the NIMS for Executive PowerPoint briefing to understand their role in emergency management and Incident Command. Everyone should review the emergency procedures for severe weather at least annually to be prepared for severe storms and tornadoes.
