The University of Louisville has produced a new Hazard Mitigation plan that has been approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and adopted by the university. The plan identifies the potential hazards that could affect the university and identifies 38 action items that will be the focus of any university mitigation activity. A “5 Year Mitigation Planning Workbook” link is also included on this page to provide a roadmap to the mitigation actions that should be considered over the next five years.
This plan will be reviewed on an annual basis each summer and will expire in 2018. Starting in 2017, the UofL Mitigation Steering Committee will convene to review the plan and prepare a revised plan for FEMA approval and adoption by the university.
